2024 Candidates

The first step in our effort to return government to the people is to elect candidates to office who will adhere to the Conservative Principles outlined on the Home Page. To achieve that, we endorsed the following candidates who have either proven themselves worthy by past actions or have shown promise for future actions.

Mike Sapraicone for U.S. Senate

Mike Sapraicone is a retired New York Police Department Detective, community volunteer, small business founder, and nationally-recognized security expert.

Mike began his law enforcement career in 1980 and served in the New York Police Department for 20 years, beginning as a transit officer protecting millions of subway riders. His dedication to service was recognized with the promotion to first-grade detective — a rank in which he worked to bring high-profile criminals to justice.

Being at the foundation of New York City’s turnaround, Mike saw first-hand the impact of crime on the New York’s economy and the need for businesses to have a private security option. It was with this in mind that he started Squad Security to provide security services to New York-based companies, including the American Stock Exchange. Since retiring from the NYPD in 2000, Mike grew this small business into a global security firm in the heart of Long Island, and employed over 600 active and retired members of law enforcement.

Mike was raised in Richmond Hill, Queens where he attended Holy Cross High School in Flushing. He has continued to be involved at Holy Cross High School as a member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees and he established scholarships for high-achieving students and those in financial need.

Mike has served as president of the Seaford Union Free School District Board of Education and is senior trustee of the Museum of American Armor, based in Old Bethpage, NY.

Mike is also on the boards of Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation, Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital, Catholic Youth Organization and the Columbus Citizens Foundation, for which he Co-Chaired New York City’s Columbus Day Parade.

Mike has been a member of the National Association of Chiefs of Police, Associated Licensed Detectives of New York State and the American Academy for Professional Law Enforcement.

Mike has frequently appeared on NBC’s Today Show, WINS Radio, NBC-TV, Fox News, Court TV, MSNBC and CNN.  Mike has also served as an expert on public safety and security issues in leading newspapers like the New York Times, New York Post, New York Daily News and Long Island Business News.  He also hosted “Mike Sapraicone’s Street Smart” on Long Island News Radio.
Mike has lived on Long Island for 32 years and currently resides in the Town of Oyster Bay with his wife Eileen. Mike is the father of five children and has five grandchildren.

Alison Esposito for Congress
(New York's 18th Congressional District)

Alison Esposito was born and raised in Highland Mills, Orange County, New York. She attended the State University of New York at Delhi, City University of New York’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) National Academy at Quantico, Virginia.

Alison proudly served in the New York City Police Department for nearly 25 years, rising to the rank of Deputy Inspector and Commanding Officer of the 70th Police Precinct. Following in the footsteps of her father, NYPD Chief Michael Esposito, Alison joined the force because she believes that those who are in danger, and cannot defend themselves, have the right to be safe, free, and protected.

Alison was on a path to becoming an NYPD Chief, but left a career in law enforcement to pursue a greater calling, running as the New York State Lieutenant Governor candidate alongside Congressman and Army veteran Lee Zeldin.

Now, Alison is committed to harnessing the energy of the commonsense wave, which brought New Yorkers from all walks of life and political ideologies together with the common purpose of putting the needs of their families and creating a better way of life before their political backgrounds.

Now more than ever, New York needs capable, determined, and courageous leaders with integrity who will protect everyday New Yorkers, drive down their cost of living, and be their voice in Congress to fight against the failed policies of those progressive elected officials who have turned away from their constituents and chosen to put Power before People.

Alison resides in Goshen, New York.

Jack Hayes for New York State Assembly 103rd Assembly District

Jack Hayes was born in Brooklyn. His family moved to Dairyland (Ulster County) NY when he was twelve. He graduated from Fallsburg Central School with a NYS Regents diploma. He played varsity soccer. He then attended SUNY Delhi and earned an Associate’s Degree in Construction Business. (He also attained an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Ulster County Community College and a Master’s in Public Administration from Marist College.)

Shortly after graduation Jack joined the United States Navy. He had hoped to get assigned to the Sea Bees (Construction Battalion) which was a Vietnam billet at the time. He did not get his first choice but rather accepted marine engineering “Boilerman” with the promise of two schools. He was assigned to the Sixth Fleet and “steamed” in the Atlantic and North Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Caribbean Sea. Jack once again volunteered for duty off the coast of Vietnam when he transferred from the USS KD Bailey DDR 713 to the USS Zellars DD 777. The Zellars had orders for Vietnam duty. It was not to be. The order was changed a week before the ship was to depart and he was assigned to a North Atlantic NATO mission.

Jack tested for the New York State Police while home on leave and was chosen to become a Trooper. He spent thirty-three years in the New York State Police, rising to Sergeant, Station Commander, Zone Sergeant and Emergency Management Non-Commissioned Officer. He served at numerous stations: Ellenville, Highland, Kingston and Middletown to name a few.

While stationed at SP Highland, Jack re-enlisted in the New York State Air National, serving in: Civil Engineering, the 137th Air Wing – Loadmaster C 5-A, and the Maintenance Training Section.

Jack served thirty-three years with the State Police and twenty-two years with the US Navy and Air National Guard.

Shortly after retiring he was asked to run for Town Supervisor of Gardiner, NY and was elected to that position. He was also asked to run for Ulster County Legislature and was elected to represent the Town of Gardiner and parts of the Towns of Shawangunk and New Paltz. In the Legislature he chaired the Public Safety Committee and the Re-entry Task Force.

Jack is an active parishioner at Saint Charles Borromeo Church in Gardiner and was a Parrish Council member of Saint Joseph’s Church of New Paltz, NY. Jack served with the Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency Board. He is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, New Paltz, LIFE Member, The American Legion Rose Sheeley Post 1034, Vice Commander, the 105th Air Wing Alumni (Secretary), the Former State Troopers Tri-State Chapter and the Wawarsing Rod and Gun Club.

Jack is the proud father of Devon, Ian and Colin Hayes, and the very proud grandfather of Sophia, Gaia, Carter, Declan Hayes and Bodhi Hofer, and the equally proud father-in-law of Liz Hayes; stepparent of two very spoiled rescue cats, Shadow and July and grand-dog, Brody.
