A Special Election—August 23, 2022

A special election will be held on August 23,2022.
The election is to fill the vacated seat of Congressman Antonio Delgado (D) who has been appointed by Kathy Hochul to serve as lieutenant-governor.
On the ballot in that election is Marc Molinaro, who has the endorsement of both the Republican and Conservative parties as the next Congressman for District 19. Marc will then go on to run for the congressional seat again in the November election. In this special election, Molinaro will be opposed by Pat Ryan (D).
Everyone, regardless of party, is entitled to vote in this election. Hopefully there will be a huge turnout for Marc Molinaro. Momentum is everything.

Redistricting based upon the 2020 Census numbers moves Saugerties into District 41, which is currently represented by State Senator Sue Serino (R) and she will be on the ballot in November.
