Paul Needs Your Help on June 25th

As you probably know, Paul Andreassen is an active member of the current Saugerties Town Board as a councilman and he is now a candidate for supervisor. Paul has promised to be a candidate for all the people in our Town, and his past behavior has shown that to be very true,

Paul has (1) a wealth of the prerequisite knowledge and experience needed right at his fingertips to be a supremely successful supervisor; and (2) the quality of leadership to carry it off—a gentleman armed with knowledge and experience.

There is no doubt that Paul Andreassen is the best choice for town supervisor but first he must be elected….and that’s where you come in.

If you’re enrolled in the Independence Party, please be sure to vote in the Primary on June 25th to nominate Paul.

If you’re
not in the Independence Party but know that Paul is the best choice, you can still make a difference. Read Paul’s résumé and send it to everyone you know. The goal is to reach all residents of Saugerties before the June 25th Primary. Go to Paul’s Facebook page,* view the résumé, register your “like,” and then forward it to all your Facebook friends and the groups that you belong to, and ask them to do the same. Let’s get the word out, “Paul needs your help on June 25th.”

Dumping in Saugerties and Other News

Dumping in Saugerties

A very hot issue in Saugerties right now concerns the dumping of foreign C&D debris (introduced from NYC and Long Island) at several sites in the Town.

A recent
Saugerties Times' article explains the details of the dumping issue and where the matter stands in the courts. That article is reprinted here, as are Mike Ivino's comments and his photos illustrating the issue. Click the items below to read and see:

Town Board Meeting of May 1st

The Town Board meeting of May 1st is now available and is posted here—thank you to Lighthouse TV23

The meeting is almost two-hours long and the Board is addressed by numerous speakers. The meeting is being posted here in its entirety since the majority of the meeting relates to either the

It was literally “Standing Room Only” at the town board meeting on May 1st. Unhappy residents of Saugerties were out in large numbers to object to the proposed new Noise Ordinance.
